A little introduction to my website

Hi there! I’m Kirthika.

Chennai-born, currently Galway-based. I’m a marketer who believes stories shape the world—whether through campaigns or scribbling travel tales over a cup of kaapi. I hold an MSc in Marketing Management from NUI Galway—which basically means I can now say “feck” confidently and calculate ROI while half-asleep.

Here’s the SparkNotes version of my life:

My journey started in Chennai, where I studied Sociology and Psychology, digging into why people think, act, and buy the way they do. That curiosity led me to IndiGo, where I spent four years as a Marketing Specialist creating campaigns that connected with travelers across the globe. My role at IndiGo helped me learn these three things:

Wanderlust is contagious.

Airplane wifi is a myth.

Email campaigns can outshine a crying baby in economy class.

But here’s the twist: while promoting wanderlust, I caught it myself. The true purpose in life is to travel. I liked the essence of life that I derived from my travelling experiences such as spending time with the locals, trying the local delicacies, travelling by foot and much more.

In 2022, I submitted my resignation and filled my backpack with a few clothes and roamed 14 countries solo—sleeping in hostels, getting lost, and learning that the best life (and marketing) lessons happen off the beaten path.

With a master’s degree in Marketing, I’m convincing folks that insurance is thrilling. And by night, I’m a freelance Swiss Army knife—building content, ghostwriting emails sassier than my Tinder bio, and occasionally Googling “how to adult” between gigs.

So, what now? Why this website? It’s built on WordPress, fueled by caffeine, and 100% robot-free—because even ChatGPT can’t replicate my special talent for burning toast.
